FileMappy Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FileMappy desktop application and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Bun Labs ("we," "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
The Service helps you organize, classify, and rename files on Windows. Core features are free. Certain features ("Pro Features") require a one-time paid license ("Pro License").
2. Account
2.1 AI-powered features and Pro Features require an account registered with your email address.
2.2 You are responsible for keeping your registration information accurate and your password secure.
2.3 We are not liable for damages arising from unauthorized use of your account, except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
3. Fees and Payment
3.1 The Pro License costs US$6.99 (or JPY 980, tax included, when the app's display language is Japanese). This is a one-time payment; there is no automatic renewal.
3.2 The Pro License is perpetual. Updates to the Service (FileMappy) are provided at no additional charge for as long as the Service is offered. New features or additional usage allowances that involve server costs may be offered as separate paid options.
3.3 Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never receive or store your card number.
3.4 Subscriptions started before September 12, 2026 (the former Pro Plan) continue under their original terms.
4. Refunds
4.1 Within 7 days of purchase, we will refund the full amount for any reason. To request a refund, contact support@filemappy.com. Refunds are issued to the card used for payment.
4.2 No refunds are provided from the 8th day after purchase.
4.3 Deleting your account does not trigger a refund. If you want a refund, contact us before deleting your account.
4.4 After a refund, Pro Features are no longer available.
5. Important Notice Regarding File Operations
5.1 The Service is designed to move and rename files only. It has no file deletion feature.
5.2 However, no software can guarantee the absence of malfunctions. You are responsible for backing up important files before and while using the Service.
5.3 We are not liable for the consequences of file moves and renames performed by the Service (including effects on cloud sync services), except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
6. AI Features and Data
6.1 AI-powered features transmit only the file name (including extension) and size of target files, the names of the folder being classified and its immediate subfolders, and the display language to an AI provider via our relay server. The Service never reads or transmits file contents (text, image data, etc.) or timestamps.
6.2 AI features are subject to usage limits (free AI classification: 5 uses per month; Pro License: 300 combined AI uses per month). We may change these limits with prior notice to maintain stable operation.

7. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
(1) reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Service;
(2) gain unauthorized access to our servers, impose excessive load on them, or circumvent usage limits (including by creating multiple accounts);
(3) violate applicable laws or public order and morals; or
(4) otherwise interfere with the operation of the Service.
8. Intellectual Property
All copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the Service belong to us or our licensors. These Terms grant you a non-exclusive license to use the Service as intended and do not transfer any intellectual property rights.
9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
9.1 The Service is provided "as is." We do not warrant that the Service is free of defects, fit for a particular purpose, or that it will operate completely, accurately, or without interruption.
9.2 Where we are liable for damages, our total liability is limited to the total amount of fees you paid us, except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
9.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory consumer protection law.
10. Changes to or Termination of the Service
10.1 We may change, suspend, or terminate the Service with prior notice.
10.2 If we terminate the Service, we will provide reasonable advance notice.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms when necessary. For material changes, we will provide prior notice in the app or on our website. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of the operator (Bun Labs) as the court of first instance.
